Manchester Township's fall calendar spans several locations. This fall's events include a township park, a farm stand, a wedding venue, and private addresses. The locations vary from event to event.
Cousler Park is the only location on this list that belongs to Manchester Township, and it's worth starting there. The park sits on nearly 107 acres at 1060 Church Road and offers two paved loop options, a 1.16-mile short route and a 1.47-mile long route, circling a pond that also serves as a backdrop for the park's stage area. It's flat, accessible, and used year-round for walking, jogging, and the four baseball and softball fields, six soccer fields, and sand volleyball court packed onto the property.
On September 19, the park hosted the township's Fun Fest, a Cousler Park tradition built around this year's America 250th theme, with carnival games, food trucks, live music, a petting zoo, and fireworks running from 3 to 8 p.m. The event ran on sponsorships from a list of local names that reads like a cross section of the township's small business roll: CGA Law Firm, Code Administrators Inc., C.S. Davidson, Gohn & Stambaugh, Whitecomb's Farm Market, and the SPCA of York County among the backers, with prizes donated by Leg Up Farmers Market, the Dunkin' Donuts on the Susquehanna Trail, Popcorn Loft, Pawsome Bakery, and Davi's Pizza. Cousler Park is public infrastructure, but even its signature fall event runs on private sponsorship rather than municipal budget alone.
October 3 brings two separate events billed as fall festivals, and neither shares a location with the other or with Cousler Park. The first starts at 10 a.m. at Berry Hill Farms, the fruit and vegetable stand on Forge Hill Road that operates as a working farm business the rest of the year. The second, a Community Fall Fest, starts two hours later at 5 Fisher Drive.
Here are the two listings for Saturday, October 3:
On October 24, the Bennett Run Fall Fest & Bazaar is scheduled for noon at 5 Fisher Drive, and the Trunk or Treat is scheduled for 11 a.m. at 4360 Board Road. That earlier Community Fall Fest means 5 Fisher Drive appears on the calendar on both October 3 and October 24.
Another event on the fall calendar takes place at 475 Shady Lane. Historic Shady Lane is first and foremost a wedding venue, a 34-acre estate with roots to the 1770s that has hosted several hundred weddings over the past several years, built around a glass and stone greenhouse and a white event tent. Weddings are the business. But for one Saturday each November, the estate turns its grounds over to the public for the Christmas Market, a free, outdoor event that debuted last November and returns this year on November 14.
The vendor list reads like a snapshot of small businesses from across the region rather than a typical festival roster: Crust & Crumb Artisan Bread Co., Character Coffee Cart, Snyder Family Farm, Amazing Grazin LLC, Lovelie Links Permanent Jewelry, and Bites of Love Dog Boutique were among the makers who set up on the estate grounds last year, and the venue has already reopened vendor applications for the 2026 date.
The fall calendar includes Fun Fest at Cousler Park; events at Berry Hill Farms and 5 Fisher Drive on October 3; events at 5 Fisher Drive and 4360 Board Road on October 24; and the Christmas Market at Historic Shady Lane on November 14. These events take place at a mix of public and private locations.
If you're trying to find Manchester's fall on a map, you won't find it at one address. You'll find it spread across these locations, on a schedule that changes property by property.
If you're weighing what it's like to actually live somewhere day to day, not just what the listing photos show, that's the kind of detail worth knowing before you commit to a place.
